Lagerfeld to launch new online fashion brand 'Karl'

Paris-based high-profile fashion designer Karl Lagerfeld will soon unveil a new online fashion brand, called Karl.
When the new online site gets unveiled early next year in partnership with Net-a-Porter, it will become the first global launch of a fashion label entirely online.
Participating in Le Web, Europe's biggest tech conference, Lagerfeld showed a preview of the collection 'Karl'. Besides providing more information about the new brand, he also showed a glimpse of the brand's logo that features the designer's profile embedded in the K'.
The Karl line will have a rock 'n' roll vibe with ample use of leather. The new collection will also feature staples from the German designer's own wardrobe, including stiff leather collars, tuxedo jackets and fingerless gloves.
With focus on affordability, the new collection is expected to enable thousands of consumers to buy Lagerfeld-designed clothing, which they were unable to afford earlier.
