Seven runway shows at Charleston Fashion Week
Mar '12
The elegance of the wedding world will be fabulously consolidated under one tent for the 2012 Charleston Weddings Magazine's Spring Bridal Show Saturday, March 24th. Celebrated designers will unveil their bridal collections alongside nationally known bridal boutiques in seven runway shows, making this year's event the grandest yet.

Designers showing their debut bridal collections on this final day of Charleston Fashion Week (CFW) include Mychael Knight (who since Project Runway has dressed Jennifer Hudson, Ciara, Keri Hilson, Kim Porter, and Queen Latifah, and graced the pages of everything from Ebony and Allure to the New York Times); Charleston favorite Rachel Gordon of ONE LOVE; and the winner of the event's inaugural Emerging Bridal Designer Competition, Calvin James Bryant.

Modern Trousseau's Callie Tein will also show her latest collection, as will LulaKate and White Couture. Prominent local bridal boutiques—White, Maddison Row, and Bella Bridesmaid—will also send gowns down the runway, many featuring looks exclusive to their shops and custom-made for the event.

In addition to the catwalk action, attendees will experience wedding glamour firsthand in the Bridal Style Lounge as they shop for jewelry from REEDS Jewelers, dee ruel, and stella & dot. Guests will also toast mimosas and Bloody Marys while tasting gratis sweet and savory treats from Newton Farms Catering, Cru Catering, and Elaine's Events—Cakes of Distinction. All the wedding bliss will take place at Marion Square in CFW's main tent, transformed by Gathering Event + Floral Design for one morning into a grand reception hall.

Charleston Weddings Spring Bridal Show is presented by Gathering Floral + Event Design. Other proud sponsors include Charleston Harbor Resort & Marina, Grey Goose, Korbel, Snyder Bar, REEDS Jewelers, and Technical Event Company. Charity partners for CFW 2012 include Lowcountry AIDS Services and MUSC Children's Hospital.
