MADRID NOVIAS, the International Bridal Fashion Exhibition, is making favourable progress regarding the marketing of its next edition, which is due to take place between 3rd and 6th May 2012 at its usual venue in Hall 14.1 in the 12.14 Area at Feria de Madrid.

At its tenth edition, this fair, which is organised by IFEMA, expects to bring together around eighty exhibitors and brands belonging to the Bridal Fashion, Party-Wear and First Communion sectors, who will attend the event with their Year 2013 Collections.

For its part, the CIBELES MADRID NOVIAS Catwalk will present a programme of fashion shows over the first two days of the fair in the same hall as the exhibition itself, located alongside the stands, thus complementing the event's trade dimension.

With still one and a half months to go before the fair itself takes place, the fashion show programme already features the participation of a number of outstanding designers from Spain, who will present their latest new ideas in bridal fashion and party-wear.

Among the designers that have already confirmed their participation at the catwalk we might mention Miquel Suay, Pepe Botella, Pol Núñez, Ana Torres, Isabel Zapardiez, Jorge Terra and Rafael Urquizar, as well as Emperatriz, the lingerie brand. These participants will be joined by Agatha Ruiz de la Prada, Javier Larrainzar, Victorio & Lucchino, Hortensia Maeso for Rubio Kids, Barcarola and Lovely Day, who will present their creations on the catwalk for First Communion celebrations.

The new initiatives that are being implemented for the May 2012 edition of the fair include a Foreign Buyers Programme that focuses in particular on Latin America; the organisation of activities such as talks, forums, etc., aimed at buyers, with a view to making the fair more attractive; and an intensification of the fair's communication measures, both in the conventional media and via portals and social media.

In this respect, this edition of MADRID NOVIAS will present the first of a series of changes and new ideas that the fair's organisers have decided to introduce, initiatives that are designed to create a more up-to-date and more developed fair approach at next year's editions and those of the following year, in accordance with current market needs.

Thus, as of 2013 the fair will present a more wide-ranging approach compared to the present format, not only encompassing wedding fashion and First Communion collections, but also all other ideas relating to parties, events and special occasions. Furthermore, the new fair concept will be promoted through the introduction of a new name and a new image, based on the joint promotion of the First Communion, Bridal Fashion, Bridegroom Fashion, Party-Wear, Formal Attire, Cocktail Attire, Page and Bridesmaid Attire and Accessory sectors.

The guidelines for the new fair concept at MADRID NOVIAS have been set out by the fair's new Director, Francesco Malatesta. These are based on the results of the last few editions of the fair and the opinions of the event's exhibitors, as well as an analysis of the current situation within the sector.
