The 2012-2013 Gaspard Yurkievich collection by Gerbe is a combination of a rich creativity and an unmatchable traditional know-how. While collaborating for the second consecutive year with GERBE, the designer put forward his vision of tights, focusing on making them a modern luxury accessory, essential to the silhouette. The range is hinged around nine key themes with pop and sexy references: Tout Doux, Finesse, So Chic, Imprévu, Et Alors! Exactement, Paradoxale, Incroyable and Fantastique.

This year, the collection is characterized by contrasted graphism and strong patterns including “trompe l’œil” effects, some unexpected blend of opacity and transparency, restyled laces,  meticulous and stunning weaving works… All those details express the new and modern styling of  this elaborate and creative collection, the result of a very painstaking work on materials.

This new Gaspard Yurkievich 2012-2013 collection by Gerbe features the same palette of colours used for the designer’s ready-to-wear and shoes collection. The principal shades are burgundy, autumnal green, curry yellow, champagne… softened on the cottoned material like the “sweet green” or “sweet pink” of the TOUT DOUX tights, or emphasized to achieve some bubbly and bright hues like the “jaune piquant” of the PARADOXALE model.

The “grand cru” or “champagne” tones are amazingly sparkling on the INCROYABLE model one, and with a total offbeat effect the “rousse”, “mint” and “pinkissime” hues of the FANTASTIQUE tights turn the animal print into an awesome bestiary.

This collection, infused with imagination and featuring a little more offbeat style sets itself in the Haute Couture universe worthy of the greatest Parisian designers.
