Corrie Nielsen to design for charity fashion show

London Fashion Week designer, Corrie Nielsen and Royal Printers and Stationers, The Wren Press are joining ranks for charity. Fashion for the Brave aims to raise money for wounded servicemen and their families at its annual gala event.

Corrie Nielsen was commissioned by patron and stylist for the event, Hilary Alexander to design and make the showpiece dress for 2012. The dress will be modelled by Jade Parfitt as the finale look on the catwalk at The Dorchester on the 20th of September 2012.

To commemorate the evening, Corrie Nielsen and The Wren Press have joined forces on a unique series of fashion illustrations by Corrie Nielsen, printed by The Wren Press – all themed around the event. The original sketches will be auctioned off at the event to raise money for the charity and each attendee will receive a limited edition set of post-card sized prints.

Fascinated by form and design from young age as the daughter of a prominent American sculptor, Corrie Nielsen obtained a First Class Honours from Central Saint Martins and worked in bespoke tailoring before launching her eponymous label.  Her impressive background includes being selected by John Galliano as the winner of the prestigious Fashion Fringe 2010 platform, establishing her as the emerging designer to watch out for.

Drawing inspiration from historical periods and aristocracy, and combining her fascination of architectural forms and designs, she is lauded by the fashion press as a modern couturier with a truly unique aesthetic vision.

“I have always been a fan of luxury stationary and am delighted to be working with The Wren Press. Design and print are a natural match and we’re going to create something truly beautiful for Fashion for the Brave,” says Corrie Nielsen.

The Wren Press is a quintessential luxury British printer and stationer that uses the finest quality paper, inks and precious metals to create the ultimate in bespoke stationery.  As Stationers and Printers to Her Majesty The Queen and His Royal Highness The Prince of Wales, The Wren Press proudly holds two Royal Warrants.

Founded over 25 years ago and with offices in London and New York, the collection of fine invitations and stationery is one of true craftsmanship and style. Every product is designed, developed and hand-crafted by highly skilled individuals using a unique blend of traditional artisan techniques and the latest in modern technology, ensuring the highest possible standards of quality and attention to detail.

Stationery from The Wren Press has a luxurious feel, achieved by hand finishing with tissue linings and ribbons, presented in trademark green and gold boxes.
