Moving away from conventional models, the event will be held in a 16m by 45m marquee on the Wellington water front, overlooking the stunning view of the harbour.

WORLD are confirmed to open the week with a fashion extravaganza, showcasing their Autumn-Winter collection, coined to explode onto the catwalk in spectacular style.

The event’s structure will see fresh spring- summer group and individual trade shows, alongside consumer focused current-collection showcases.

Wellington Fashion Week’s managing director, Cameron Sneddon outlines that it was important to re-evaluate his business model to ensure that the event moved with the industry.

“The industry is rapidly moving into the online domain and designers are focusing their efforts on direct and instant trade with consumers and buyers. By using a fashion week as leverage, designers are creating an intimate consumer experience which supplements conventional retail avenues”.

The announcement coincides with the launch of the new-look Wellington Fashion Week website, and comes eight days before the Wellington Fashion Week launch party, in conjunction with McKenzie Watson Photography and Web Boutique. Designer enrolments open on 5th November.
