Fashion designers from India and Pakistan would be honoured at this year’s International Asian Fashion Awards (IAFA), to be held in London next month, for their outstanding contribution to the fashion industry.

Renowned Indian fashion designer duo Abu Jani and Sandeep Khosla will be felicitated by the IAFA 2012 with the ‘Outstanding Contribution to the Fashion Industry’ award.

Abu and Sandeep, India’s most celebrated couturiers, together built a 25-year partnership wherein they gave ethnic wear a contemporary and modern touch. During their carrier span, they worked as costume designers for several Bollywood directors, as well as they were fashion makers for many celebrities across the world.

IAFA said the twin designers are very creative and innovative in their works and they have enriched the entire fashion world through their unique creations.

According to IAFA, the ‘Best Designer Brand’ will be awarded to the well-known Pakistani designer Asim Jofa and his latest collections will be showcased at the award function.

Asim Jofa shifted his carrier from being a jewelry designer to fashion designing and through exotic colors, coveted fabrics and meticulous designs, he has become one of the most favorite designers of Pakistan’s fashion conscious women.
