This past 31 January - 3 February, 2013 Copenhagen International Fashion Fair (CIFF) pursued its mission of offering a world class platform for Scandinavian fashion. CIFF closed its doors on Sunday, February 3 after witnessing over the course of the four-day Fall/Winter 2013-14 fair a significant increase in the number of international buyers including four times as many Swedish buyers than last season!

The significant increase in visitors, brands, buyers and press from the world over confirms that CIFF is on its way to becoming the gateway to Scandinavian fashion.

 New Energy

Over the past few seasons, CIFF has sought to make the fair experience more efficient, more enjoyable and more exciting for exhibitors, buyers and press. This past Fall/Winter 2013-14 fair, CIFF unveiled Crystal Hall, a new showcase for forward-looking brands as well as a special collaboration with Copenhagen's premiere concept store, Storm.

CIFF also had the pleasure of featuring groundbreaking Danish design firm KiBiSi. The response to CIFF's new direction from our partners has been overwhelmingly positive. Here is what they had to say:

"We're amazed by the support we've received at CIFF. As a young brand, we especially appreciate the exposure to key international press and buyers, the real heavy hitters. We're excited to be part of CIFF and look forward to growing our brand here." (Pernille Lykke, co-founder Asger Juel Larsen)

"We've been exhibiting at CIFF since 1994. It's tremendously exciting for us to witness the new energy around CIFF. Everyone is talking about it in a very positive way. It's nice to be part of that." (Camilla Dalager, Managing Director, Belsac)

"CIFF offers the kind of support we need to grow our business. This is only our second fair with CIFF but we believe in CIFF's new direction because we believe that this is the way forward." (Kristoffe Haapanen & Virgil Nicholas, founders Les Deux)

"Tommy Hilfiger is a lifestyle brand. It's therefore essential that we have a platform that enables us to display our brand in a way that reflects our brand values and allows us to tell our story in our own way. The new showrooms at CIFF allow us to do exactly that. For us, it's a very efficient way to do business." (Susanne Pedersen & Andrea Kjaersvold, Tommy Hilfiger Footwear)

"Being featured in CIFF's Crystal Hall is a tremendous opportunity for me. As a small brand, this kind of platform provides much needed support. I'm incredibly grateful to CIFF for this opportunity." (Trine Lindegaard, rising Danish menswear designer)

"We don't normally exhibit at fairs but we were attracted by all the good buzz and energy around CIFF. This was our first experience and we're very happy to have taken part." (KiBiSi)

Whether in architecture, gastronomy, industrial design and increasingly fashion, Copenhagen is shaking things up and leading the way forward and CIFF is proud to be part of it all. We look forward to welcoming you back to Copenhagen from 8-11 August 2013.
