Princess Diana's maternity wardrobe on display at London

Feb '13
While the world’s fashion media is still going gung ho about the eclectic sartorial choices of the Duchess of Cambridge, an exhibition, displaying ensembles from the royal fashionista’s late mother-in-law Princess Diana’s wardrobe, is going to start from September 20, 2013 at London’s Fashion and Textile Museum (FTM).

Titled as ‘The Glamour of Bellville Sassoon’, the event will exhibit sketches of sophisticated gowns worn by the beautiful Princess of Wales during her pregnancies.

Designed by Britain’s foremost couture label Bellville Sassoon, the exhibition will feature the late royal diva’s iconic off-shouldered fairy princess outfit, pink coloured floral day dress and the brightly hued claret gown.

Other than the expansive display of the aristocratic royal’s maternity gowns, the event will also celebrate the works of the major British couture houses from the late 1950s era.

The high-end fashion salon Bellville Sassoon was founded in the year 1953 by socialite Belinda Bellville with designers David Sassoon and Lorcan Mullany.
