Dubai to showcase Emirati designers at Mazyouna

Mazyouna, a 10-day-long Emirati fashion celebration aiming to highlight seasoned and emerging local fashion talents from across the UAE, is going to be held from April 18, 2013, at Dubai’s premium haute couture and luxury shopping hotspot BurJuman Centre.
Hosting a string of glitzy runway shows by top nine UAE designers, the event will showcase fresh summer collections of couture and ready-to-wear gowns.
Showcasing more than three catwalk shows each day over a period of three days, the first day of the event will see latest lines of abayas and jelabiyas designed by popular labels like Hessa Al Obaidli’s Hesseh Abaya Haute Couture and Rafia Helal Bin Drai’s Mauzan.
The fashion soiree will also include a special Lady Gaga-inspired collection of couture gowns and dresses created by designer Fatmah Bin Fahad's label Al Mayyasa.
Other than the glamorous line-up of innovative ramp shows, the event will also include an exclusive fashion exhibition, which will run till April 27, 2013, displaying some of the selected pieces from each of the participating designers.
