Fashion lovers will be excited to hear designer names such as Andrea Moore, Hailwood, Jimmy D, moochi, Taylor and Zambesi are confirmed for the New Zealand ‘Fashion Weekend’ schedule.

On Friday 6th, Saturday 7th and Sunday 8th September, Fashion Week will open its doors for fashionistas to enjoy New Zealand’s most glamorous fashion event at Auckland’s Viaduct Events Centre.

New Zealand Fashion Weekend delivers a full fashion experience packed with designer runway shows, expert beauty and style seminars and the chance to hang out with friends in a vibrant venue. Bargain hunters can also shop til they drop at the Designer Garage Sale or pamper themselves with nail and hair treatments on site.

A highlight of the event schedule is Zambesi‘s debut at NZ Fashion Weekend, affording fans a rare opportunity to attend one of their legendary catwalk shows. Another feature of the weekend is Annah Stretton’s ‘Gay Wedding’ ceremony.

The Westpac Tent will be transformed into a plush wedding venue in this unique fashion event. The wedding will feature two blushing brides, an official wedding celebrant, a fabulous wedding planner and over 1000 wedding guests. There will be limited tickets available for the public to be part of this joyous event.

With wedding season just around the corner, NZ Weddings is pleased to announce the return of their Bridal Show featuring some of the country’s top wedding gown designers. Also on the wedding runway will be menswear designers Murray Crane and Workshop, as well as flower girl and bridesmaid fashions.

The ever popular NZ Weddings Bridal Seminar covers fool-proof fashion and styling tips for everyone from the bridal party to the mother of the bride, plus a gorgeous goodie bag for everyone who attends.

Also new this year is the official Fashion Weekend Opening Party held on the Friday night 6th September at 6.00pm. Rub shoulders with some of the country’s favourite fashion designers, international VIPs, fashion media and many of the exciting brands bringing Fashion Weekend to life. There are limited tickets available to the public and guests need to dress to impress.

Experience the glitz and glamour of New Zealand Fashion Week, while watching a showcase of the finest in-season garments at the Designer Selection Show. This upbeat show is a stylish snapshot of every designer showing throughout the week. Choose from one of 5 evening shows and settle in for 35 minutes of fashion, entertainment and fun.

The goodie bag is often boasted as the best of the week, so claim yours with every seat purchased. Your ticket also gives you access onsite well before the show, so come and hang out in the Kohler Champagne Lounge or peruse the fashion and beauty exhibitions to get you in the mood pre-show!
