89 designers to partake at Lakmé Fashion Week

LFW announced the list of 89 participating designers and 7 sponsors who have come together to commemorate creative talent excellence and present the best of fashion industry through innovative and inclusive collaborations.

This season will witness a perfect amalgamation of fresh & upcoming talent along with industry’s most established names that will set an unparalleled benchmark of diversity, creativity and energy.

Highlights of Lakmé Fashion Week Winter/Festive 2013:

Opening show by Manish Malhotra

Bollywood’s favourite designer Manish Malhotra will display a fresh Winter/Festive line in a scintillating opening show on his home ground. A Bollywood costume designer, a stylist, a couturier – Manish Malhotra has successfully established himself as a multi-faceted designer over the years and has emerged as industry’s go-to-person for celebrities and fashion icons in India and around the world.

Lakmé Grand Finale

Fashion legend and LFW discovery, Sabyasachi Mukherjee, will present his collection as the Grand Finale designer at Lakmé Fashion Week Winter/Festive 2013. A renowned name both in India and abroad, Sabyasachi’s Finale presentation is set to be one of the season’s most awaited shows, after a hiatus of five years.

Gen Next program crosses 100 designers

The upcoming season promises to celebrate this momentous milestone with a reunion of Lakmé Fashion Week Gen Next alumni. Gen Next alumni from the past 16 seasons will come together to celebrate the contribution that this program has made towards truly shaping the Indian fashion industry.
