Known for his comfortable western signature style of clothes that have timeless mix and match qualities; Nimish Shah’s collection for his label ‘Shift’ at Lakmé Fashion Week Winter/Festive 2013, revealed modern vintage dynamics.
Offering a style that is novel but dapper, Nimish ensured that the construction and detailing of his garments enhanced the wearer’s fashion quotient thus making the lady the focal point at any event.
Midis made a welcome appearance and were stylishly elegant. Linear skirts gave a chic impression, while hand knits, prints and reworked silhouettes revealed subtle glamour. The colour story was sombré with charcoal, grey, teal, brown, burgundy and deep floral prints adding panache to the seamlessly integrated collection.
Opening with a sparkling burgundy dress, Nimish followed it with the velvet skirt, another tie-up brown version, printed peasant dress, floral print blouse under brown pinafore and the wrap skirt with swing jacket which had a marked folksy look about them.
Hand knit sweater over pencil skirts, gilet in knits, floral sheath, the two-tone skirt in print and plain, floral sun dress and the beige smock dress with embroidered front could work as mix and match options.
Giving great options to the adventurous dresser, Nimish Shah’s collection had all the qualities for a bestselling line.
