John Malkovich to present his line in Latin America

Oct '13
After presenting his collection in Milan, Paris and other fashion capitals of the world, the veteran American actor John Malkovich is now gearing up to feature his creations for the very first time in a Latin American country.

The 59-year-old Illinois-born artist-turned-designer is all set to feature his Techno-bohemian line at the famous Puerto Rican cultural institution Museo de Arte de Puerto Rico (MAPR), located in the country’s capital city of San Juan.

The collection, which will be displayed at a catwalk built in the great hall of the esteemed institution, will aim to pay tribute to the life and work of Malkovich’s former friend, the late Puerto Rican actor Raul Julia.

Scheduled to take place on November 9, 2013, the event’s proceedings will benefit MAPR’s Artist Assistance Program (BOW), whose mission is to support Puerto Rican artists.

To be hosted by the Chilean actress Cote de Pablo, the show is likely to be attended by the famous Australian-born hairstylist Rodney Cutler, Tony Award winning director-producer Stephen Eich as well as the famous American stage and television actors Ian Barford and Tom Irwin.
