Shawn Corey Carter, popularly known as Jay-Z, the internationally famous American rapper, record producer and entrepreneur, has finally unveiled his much talked about collaborative line with the luxury department store chain Barneys.

Tagged as ‘A New York Holiday’, the range is a very selective edit of some drool worthy pieces, designed by well-known luxury men’s fashion labels such as Balmain, Moncler, Proenza Schouler, Rick Owens, Lanvin, En Noir, Acne Studios, Stutterheim, Just Don and Balmain.

The 43-year-old’s high-end limited edition collection includes T-shirts, leather boxing shorts, slim-fit two button jackets, hoodies, raincoats, windbreakers and jeans as well as accessories like scarves, caps, jacquard ties and woollen beanies.

Beyonce, the beautiful American singer, songwriter and wife of Jay-Z, has modelled in few of the pieces from the just unveiled menswear collection.

Proceeds from the sale of the collection will go to the Shawn Carter Foundation, a New York-based charity which awards post-secondary scholarships to students facing socio-economic hardships.

The range is available online and at Barney’s New York City flagship store’s BNY SCC Gallery, an in-store space, conceived by renowned French visual artist Joanie Lemercier. The interior of the space includes a 360-degree projection experience, showcasing a multi-dimensional film, shot over a period of three months in Brooklyn and Manhattan. The film portrays spectacular visuals that take visitors through a journey from New York’s underground through the city and beyond.

Founded in 1923, the American luxury chain Barneys specializes in an array of high-end fashion and home accessories from labels like Yves Saint Laurent, Barbour and Bettanin & Venturi.
