Dubai to host 3rd edition of Fashion Forward in April'14
Dec '13
The third edition of Dubai’s leading bi-annual sartorial event Fashion Forward (FFWD) which focuses both on traditional runway shows and fashion industry-related educative discussions, is set to be held from April 10 to 13, 2014, once again at the Madinet Jumeirah in the city.
The next installment would continue to raise the bar in terms of diversity of regional design talent, a strong portfolio of industry experts to advise and educate, and creating a unique space where designs, ideas and experiences can be exchanged. Registrations have already opened for designers willing to participate in the event.
The second edition of FFWD, which was held in October 2013, saw over 15,000 visitors attending the event that featured 21full-capacitycatwalk shows, displaying the designs of 23 of the finest couture and ready-to-wear designers from Saudi Arabia, Qatar, Lebanon, Kuwait, Oman and the UAE.
A new addition to the second edition was the introduction of The Garden—a space which featured fashion accessories and lifestyle items created by Middle Eastern designers, throughout the four-day event.
FFWD is a movement incorporating biannual presentations from Middle East’s most established and emerging fashion designers, for consumers, buyers and the media. The third edition of the event would also feature public programmes including talks, panels and workshops by the region’s leading fashionistas.
