The UK Fashion and Textile Association (UKFT) is delighted to announce the NatWest UK Fashion & Textile Awards 2014 will be hosted by BBC journalist Susanna Reid at a glittering awards gala on the 22nd May 2014 at East London’s iconic Tobacco Dock.

The NatWest UK Fashion & Textile Awards is a prestigious and comprehensive celebration of the UK fashion industry – from exciting young design talent and influential brands, to companies proudly manufacturing fashion and textiles here on UK shores.

The Awards recognise excellence in creativity, design and innovation alongside commercial success in a tough financial climate.

Susanna Reid, a renowned journalist best known for presenting BBC Breakfast and appearing on BBC’s Strictly Come Dancing 2013, is the ideal host for the Awards.

Fashion Scout, organisers of Fashion Scout London, Paris and Kiev, (and of Graduate Fashion Week), will produce a catwalk featuring the work of the finalists and winners. This will highlight the outstanding contribution of the many successful businesses making up the fashion and textile industry today.

UKFT Chief Executive John Miln said: “We are highly anticipating the 2014 Awards, especially after the achievement of last year’s ceremony where so many talented businesses were recognised.

"The UK has a vibrant fashion and textile industry so it is an honour for UKFT to distinguish the inspiring people that make it so exceptional. We are delighted that Susanna Reid can be a part of the Awards and are grateful to our generous sponsors for making this spectacular event possible.”
