The Spanish capital city of Madrid is all geared up to host the first edition of the couture bridalwear fashion event ‘Catwalk Couture Spain’ scheduled to be held on May 20, 2014, at the Palacio de Cibeles.

Organized by the Association of Spanish Couture, the event is touted to become the important gateway for wedding dresses and aims at showcasing new trends in the Spanish bridalwear sector.

The daylong event would feature ten nationally renowned Spanish fashion designers, including popular bridalwear designers Paula del Vas, Urquizar Rafael and Ruben Perlotti, who would be presenting their wedding collections for 2014-15.

In addition to the ten Spanish designers, five designers from Ibiza would also be presenting their bridalwear collections under the ‘Ad Lib Group Ibiza Bride’ theme. The five bridalwear designers participating in the show include Charo Ruiz, Dira Moda, Pilucca Bayarri, and Tony Bonet.

The Association of Spanish Couture was co-founded by Paula del Vas, Urquizar Rafael and Ruben Perlottil, with the aim of promoting and encouraging trade activities in the Spanish bridal wear industry.

The event is organized with the objective of providing Spanish wedding costume designers an opportunity to showcase ‘Made in Spain’ designs to more than 200 domestic and international buyers that are expected to attend the show.
