NZFW brings Coney events fusing corporate & fashion world
29
May '14
For the first time ever at New Zealand Fashion Week (NZFW), has Coney Events on board to stage a luxurious and entertaining corporate lunch on Friday August 29th. Coney Events has an excellent business style aesthetic and attracts an audience very relevant to most of our designers.

This exciting new initiative will merge the corporate and fashion world with drinks on arrival, lunch served at tables in the Runway venue, a Resene Designer Selection Show presented by Fashion Quarterly, corporate designer segments and access to a VIP designer shopping opportunity and NZ Fashion Weekend opening party.

The in-season Resene Designer Selection Show presented by Fashion Quarterly will incorporate all designers showing at NZFW including an in-season segment of Fashion Quarterly picks. This will be followed by a segment featuring looks aimed at the corporate market from Trelise Cooper Boardroom, Kate Sylvester, Kathryn Wilson, Zambesi, Juliette Hogan and TK including an interview with each designers, giving insight to the philosophy behind their brand and ideas of how to successfully build a sensational business wardrobe.

New Generation
NZFW New Generation show is a wonderful platform to give up and coming designers an extra hand to launch their label. Last year three very talented finalists showed at NZFW – Crooked Seven, Nara Paz and Beverly Riverina. Some of New Zealand’s top labels started their NZFW journeys in the New Generation Show, including Hailwood, Salasai and Cybele!

This show is about nurturing new talent; typically these designers have never been in a fashion show. The New Generation designers showcase their collections in a group show where they are supported by NZFW with stylists, models, hair, makeup and show producers, as well as a boot camp to help them with their business structure and collection. All three designers will walk away with a priceless experience and amazing new brand awareness.
