CIFF launches new campaign with Danish acting talents

CIFF is launching a new SPRING-SUMMER 2015 campaign featuring two young Danish acting talents, Sarah-Sofie Boussnina and Gustav Giese.

Later this year Sarah-Sofie Boussnina will feature in the movie, “The Absent One” based on Jussi Adler-Olsen’s novel by the same name, while Gustav Giese is known for his lead role as ‘Casper’ in the acclaimed movie “Northwest”, which premiered last year.

The driving force for the decision to use these two actors was the desire to make CIFF a more internationally relevant fashion destination; drawing on the many elements that make Copenhagen unique.

“In recent years both Copenhagen and Denmark have made a mark internationally with drama series’ such as “Borgen” and “The Killing”, and with film directors including Susanne Bier, Lars Von Trier and Nicolas Winding Refn. At the same time, more and more people are recognizing Copenhagen's ability to create a breeding ground for fashion brands with an international vision,” says Kristian W. Andersen Design and Fashion Director for CIFF.

He continues, “We want to establish a synergy between these two positive cultural impacts that Copenhagen has created. Therefore we have chosen two acting talents to represent CIFF, as we believe that focusing on what makes Copenhagen unique is the best way to create a united Scandinavian destination for both international and Nordic fashion brands,” Kristian W. Andersen concludes.
