Los Angeles boutique Decades offers Nora Al Shaikh designs

The Los Angeles-based vintage fashion boutique Decades has joined forces with the young rising fashion star of Saudi Arabia, Nora Al Shaikh, to release her fall 2014 collection for the very first time in the West Coast of the United States.

Titled as Futurista, the line, which is available for sale in the store till August end, is replete with metallic duchesse satin and soft translucent yarn made eveningwear dresses, tunics, tops and other separates, based in architectural shapes and cuts, in a lush palette of ivory, pink and violet hues.

The 24-year-old Riyadh-based designer Nora launched her eponymous label in 2012. Known for her strong graphics and rich colours infused sportswear and eveningwear clothes, the Riyadh’s Arts & Skills Institute alumnus presented her first collection in 2009 at Saks Fifth Avenue Riyadh.

Founded in 1997, Decades specialises in timeless vintage and modern clothing and accessories, spanning from 1920s to present day. The boutique offers exclusive designs from the houses of Azzedine Alaia, Hermes and Dior. It boasts of an impressive clientele comprised of the who’s who of Hollywood, including Julianne Moore, Selma Blair and Charlize Theron.
