The just wrapped up second annual instalment of Style Week Pittsburgh hosted several glitzy fashion focused events conducted over a period of seven days across different venues in the Pennsylvanian city.

Themed as En Vogue, the event opened with the Kick-Off Designer Fashion Show which featured catwalk parades from two international names- Laura Portia Brady from Ireland and the young Jamaican fashion label Toya Taylor.

The Dublin-based designer Brady featured a very vintage European-inspired evening and bridal wear collection, crafted from soft luxurious yards of silk, with a contemporary twist at the soiree.

Emerging designer Taylor from Kingston showcased a balanced amalgamation of androgyny and classic femininity in her range. Accentuated with clean lines, classic silhouettes and modern details, the collection was decorated with rich colours and bold prints.

In addition to the aforementioned labels, creations from Chemistry and Mid-Atlantic Mercantile boutiques and mobile fashion stores like Style Truck and Broke Little Rich Girl as well as plus-size clothing brand Timeline were also displayed at the event.

A part of the total proceeds from the Style Week Pittsburgh were donated to Strong Women, Strong Girls, a national non-profit organization which strives to eliminate the achievement gap amongst women and girls.
