Raf Simons, the Belgian creative head of the French luxury fashion company Christian Dior, showcased his fifth major womenswear collection on the fourth day of the ongoing Parisian sartorial extravaganza Paris Fashion Week.

Replete with a fresh innovative take on the brand’s signature iconic looks like the Bar Jacket and New Look suit, the Spring/Summer 2015 line showcased a sleeveless, buttoned, white ribbed cotton vest paired with matching slim fit trousers alongside few pannier incorporated skirts, quilted silk skater-style shorts, floral jacquard blazers, pastel linen coats, Bermuda shorts and 18th-century court dress style satin gilets in vibrant orange hues.

The enfant terrible of fashion, Jean Paul Gaultier, presented his final ready-to-wear collection on the fifth day of the event. The 62-year-old, who has decided to quit his extremely successful over four-decade-long prêt-a-porter design career to focus only on the world of couture, showcased an impeccably cut black suit featuring a single-sleeved double-breasted blazer paired with a blush satin bustier and high waist trousers, a belted yellow leather bikini top and matching thongs combo, a strapless two toned bodycon with cone-shaped bodice, and metallic skirts and cropped printed denim button downs at the soiree.

Humberto Leon and Carol Lim, the current creative duo behind Japanese designer Kenzo Takada’s namesake French brand Kenzo, staged an interesting digitally enhanced catwalk show on the sixth day of the fashion do. The S/S15 line’s major highlights were ruffled tiered blouses, fun and feminine lace skirts and an array of fit-and-flare trumpet skirts and dresses.

The luxury French brand Givenchy, under the aesthetic guidance of its creative head Ricardo Tisci, displayed a monochrome-based leather, silk, chiffon and lace heavy collection. Created in sharply cut structured silhouettes, the standouts were a ruffle detailed crochet halter-neck dress, a striped shirt as well as some sexy tunics, A-line skirts, boxy jackets, sleeveless waistcoats and mini dresses with bold plunging necklines.
