Jockey International partners Dream Lounge on thermals
Nov '14
The global innerwear giant Jockey International, Inc. has signed on a new licensing agreement with the American loungewear specialist, Dream Lounge, to launch a line of thermalwear for men and women.

According to the newly formed union, the intimate apparel maker will partner with the sleepwear expert to help them expand from loungewear to thermals and would also leverage the latter’s knowledge and expertise with innovative technical fabrics to offer avant-garde thermal offerings.

Milou Gwyn, the Vice President of licensing at Jockey, spoke about the collaboration, “We are thrilled to introduce our partnership with Dream Lounge. Their mission to ‘shake up sleepwear’ is aligned with Jockey's commitment to continue providing on-trend product with the latest in apparel technology. We are excited to leverage their proven industry success for Jockey's thermal business.”

Slated to be released sometime in the Fall-2015 season, the range will be made using innovative fabrics like the heat-generating technology enhanced material which uses Hollow Core yarns to trap heat, React Tech, and the Peak Performance which traps heat, wicks moisture and features anti-microbial properties.

The collection will cover a wide array of thermals ranging from the traditional waffle thermals and Supersoft layering pieces to textured stretch microfleece for women as well as the moisture wicking microfleece for men. The line will also offer bodies including the traditional layering ensembles, modern unionsuits and active one-pieces.

Founded in 2011 by apparel industry veterans Jenna Lowe and Paula Pereira, the Dream Lounge brand specializes in technical fabric crafted night-time apparels that keep the wearer comfortable all year round – insulating in the colder months and breathing in the warm. Based in stylish shapes and silhouettes, the label owns three sleepwear labels- White Orchid, Good Night Kiss and Cool Girl.

Established in 1876, headquartered in Kenosha, Wisconsin, Jockey International, Inc. is a privately held company that sells clothing in major department and specialty stores in more than 140 countries around the world. (PB)
