The just concluded edition of the Indonesian fashion frenzy Jakarta Fashion Week showcased an array of ready-to-wear Spring-2015 clothing from a talented line up of both emerging and seasoned designers.

The home-grown designer Denny Wirawan drew inspiration from the Menno Meyjes directed multi-lingual film A Matador's Mistress for his latest catwalk presentation. Crafted from silk shantung, crepe, organza, chiffon, tulle and jacquard materials, the range was embellished with simple cuts, crystals, stones and Spanish style embroidery.

Enhanced with ruffles, polka dots and floral prints, the line featured boleros, coats, slim pants, red and black coloured long dresses and a variety of glamorous cocktail and evening wear outfits.

The Islamic fashion apparel brand Shafira Encyclo showcased a 72-piece range titled Nautical Blitz at the style do. Drawing inspiration from the island of Sicily in Italy, the casualwear heavy range displayed robes, jackets and veils in a sunny palette of tangerine, yellow, electric blue and red hues.

Fashion designer Risty Tagor highlighted a 16-piece wedding dress collection for Muslim women. Made using viscose, silk, duchess satin, tulle, taffeta and lace fabrics, the white, pink, brown and blue colours based range showed sequin adorned kebayas and long full skirts.

In addition to the above mentioned names, various national and international brands including Abineri Ang, Aditya, Albert Yanuar, Barli Asmara, bateeq, BCBG Maxazria, Bizzare, Catherine Emilia, Christina Wu, Cotton Ink, Cynthia Tanujaya, Debenhams, Dina, Disaya, DKNY, Dress and Co, Endhita, Eri Dani, Evelyn Fransisca, Felita Wirawan, Fellysya Fabian, Fomalhaut Zamel, Gloria Agatha, Gracia Shinta and Gregorius Vici also showcased their newest creations at the seven-day event.
