The Italian fashion and leather goods specialist Gucci has unveiled its latest women’s pre-fall 2015 collection celebrating the return of the quintessential Gucci woman’s bourgeois soul.

The line is replete with 1970s-inspired geometric and camouflage like overlapping foliage prints, sleek lines, embroideries, furs with inlay workings and menswear style tailoring.

The pieces include tweed, herringbone and geometric jacquard made form-fitting suits, Mongolian lamb wool neckline adorned shearling outerwear, coats with colourful trims, woven goat and patchwork accented jackets, wool mélange sharp blazers, and mohair, merino and alpaca woven knitwear with subtle Nordic patterns.

The range also features pants ranging from the low-waist cuffed short silk-wool trouser variety to the oversized flannel pants, flared corduroys, tapered ones and the black-on-black embroidered denims.

The season’s dress offerings include chemisier-inspired knee-length designs with defined waistlines, puffed sleeves and fluid skirts, and clean jacquard minidresses, printed gowns and cocktail numbers. The line’s robe-inspired leather dress features snap closures, studs and embroidery.

Also mixed and matched separates, as well as mini-vests form a part of the latest collection which is based on a mixed palette of warm shades of brick red, soft burgundy, apricot, dark orange, pink along with cooler tones including slate, dusty blue, ivy green, alongside neutral hues like charcoal, black and camel.

Founded in 1921, the Florentine brand Gucci is owned by the French luxury goods holding company Kering (formerly known as PPR). (PB)
