Italian luxury fashion house Fendi has unveiled its new Fall/Winter 2015 menswear collection meant for a man who not only enjoys freedom but also is an urban dreamer.

According to a press statement, the Fendi Men’s Fall/Winter 2015-16 Collection is tailored for a man who is forever restless even during his lunch break. All he needs is a blanket to rest on, an apple to eat, a soccer ball to play and a bag to carry the kit.

Made using dense fabrics like felt, corduroy, tweeds, suede, sheepskin, mohair and shetland, the line is based on a palette of grey, blue, milk and tobacco hues.

The range is replete with highly textured looks achieved from mixing a variety of materials such as sheepskin and leather is inter-woven to give corduroy like texture, pinstripes with laser-cut 3-D motifs, regimental stripes woven with intarsia and suede morphed halfway through calf leather.

Created in soft and comfortable silhouettes along with straight lines and rounded shoulders, the collection features suits with boxy jackets and flared hemmed trousers, sharply cut coats, jumpers with contrast pockets, utilitarian slacks, tweed pieces and a variety of protective outerwear.

The line also offers some highly innovative ensembles with storage accompaniments, including reversible suede coats that can be folded into zippered pouches, blankets that can be transformed into scarves with roomy pockets, and duvets with geometric patterns.

The collection’s accessory entries include sturdy loafers with fur inserts, felt shoppers, backpacks with straps to hold blankets and apple and smiley printed furry bags.

Founded in 1925, the Roman label Fendi specializes in fur, ready-to-wear, leather goods, shoes and a wide array of accessories and lifestyle products. (PB)
