One of the icons of the city of Rio de Janeiro, the Copacabana Palace Hotel, was the inspiration for Victor Dzenk, a stylish from Minas Gerais, to create his collection for winter 2008. With a style for haute couture and feminine classic dresses, strong when making gowns, for the first time the stylist brought tailor models.
Basically, the fashion show was made of three parts: the golden age of the 20's carnival balls with columbines and flappers. Here, dresses with lots of fringes, brightness, cascade chains, besides the long fluids.
On the second part, the famous hostesses, highlighting Marlene Dietrich and her androgyneity that was the basis for shirts, suits, tails and top hats, as well as sequins with plumes and peacock feathers, which was the strongest part of the collection.
In the end, the most modern part, inspired in hosts such as the Rolling Stones: leather jackets over printed dresses, leggings, superposition, chains.
Fabric stamps are another history, bringing digital prints of old folders of the hotel, pictures of guests and the famous mouth, the Stones' mark. A lot of brightness. Long and very short dresses, shorts, ample pants. Black and white, purple, old black, silver, green, oranges and yellows were part of the palette.
