Naoki Honjo is currently showcasing his "Small Planet" exhibition at the Paul Smith SPACE Gallery in Japan.
Entitled 'Small Planet', this new and exclusive set of photographic prints survey the London landscape condensed into miniature.
Honjo specializes in taking photographs of natural scenery and real cities, taken from high above, looking down on people, trees, buildings, cars.
The intensely coloured prints are littered with familiar every-day sights but offer a new perspective of real landscapes that look like artificially created miniature models.
'Small Planet' brings Honjo's vision of London to life by presenting London and its well-known landmarks from an entirely new perspective.
Each image is tweaked in such a way as to mislead the viewer, making one automatically assume a certain 'fakeness' to the landscape – Honjo is the pioneer in its field in Japan. The reflected image is both familiar and strangely unfamiliar.
