Timberland PRO, an industry leader in occupational footwear, announced plans to apply its unique approach to innovation in the slip-resistant market. The Timberland PRO BLACK series will address the specific needs of service and hospitality professionals – combining advanced comfort and performance with Timberland style – enabling workers to feel more confident on the job.

“We developed Timberland PRO BLACK series using our footwear expertise and an in-depth understanding of the needs of the end-user,” said Jim O'Connor, director of marketing for Timberland PRO. “We're providing a real on-the-job footwear solution for the full time professional working in the most demanding service environments. And for this consumer, footwear performance and aesthetics can be equally important elements.”

The Timberland PRO BLACK series unites the traditional craftsmanship and quality that the Timberland PRO name embodies, but incorporates specific technologies that allow for safe and confident mobility in service environments. These include:

• SafeGrip sole provides lightweight superior slip-resistance and shock absorbency on both wet and dry surfaces. A unique tread design allows for maximum surface contact, while well-defined leading edges and strategically positioned grooves push liquids away from the foot
• Scotchgard protector by 3M provides extraordinary stain resistance
• Premium full-grain waterproof leather creates a sleek, polished look
