Istanbul gears up to celebrate fashion in its full glory

IF- 11th International Istanbul Fashion Fair brought famous stylists and fashion designers together in Istanbul. The fair, held at Istanbul CNR EXPO CENTER by the cooperation of CNR EXPO FAIR ORGANISATION, IF COUNCIL and ITKIB (General Secretariat of Istanbul Textile & Apparel Exporter Associations), hosted a total of 26538 visitors 4126 of which were international.
IF 11th International Istanbul Fashion Fair, held on 7, 8, 9th February, hosted famous stylists and fashion designers. The fair, aiming at introducing Turkish ready-made clothing worldwide, making it a worldwide known brand and featuring Istanbul in fashion center, was realized at an area of 50 thousand m². 3500 m² was allocated for trend and catwalk areas in the fair where 335 domestic and foreign companies exhibited.
From Assembly to the Fashion Fair - The fair was inaugurated by the State Minister Kürsad Tüzmen. Tüzmen inaugurated IF 11th International Istanbul Fashion Fair after he had left the assembly meetings towards morning and arrived at Istanbul by road. He stated that “I didn't want to miss this great meeting. There is a tendency to fashion and branding. We are on the verge of a new expansion and change. We should embrace and trust each other. We will achieve 150 billion USD sector in 2023.”
IF 11th International Istanbul Fashion Fair was visited by the representatives of Russian exporter firms with the support of Undersecretariat of Foreign Trade and Russian Trade Attaché Office. Buyers from various countries like Canada, Albania, Germany, Belarus, The UAE, Bulgaria, Morocco, Jordan, France, Britain, Israel, The Republic of South Africa and Georgia attended the fair as well as Russian Federation, with Hosted Buyer Program of Undersecretariat of Foreign Trade.
All the Mornings of the World - A catwalk by Özlem Süer, the owner of “Best Designer” award of 2007, appeared at the Fair's Gala. Süer's collection,being inspired by the film “All the Mornings of the World”, influenced people with its visual surprises, as well. Sixteen models including Çagla Sikel, Cansu Dere, Ahu Yagtu, Bilgi Kara and Pinar Tezcan appeared at the Süer's catwalk.
