VoloMedia (formerly Podbridge), the leading provider of advertising, metrics, and reporting solutions for downloadable media, announced that Timex, a leader in outdoor and sports-performance timepieces, has kicked off a new podcast advertising campaign on Podrunner, the award winning weekly series of fixed-BPM (beats per minute) dance music mixes by Los Angeles DJ Steve Boyett.
As part of the campaign, Timex will produce a series of 15- and 30-second ads featuring the Timex Ironman iControl, a functionally advanced sports watch that wirelessly operates Apple's iPod, targeting 18- 35-year-old men and women who listen to high-energy music during their workouts. The campaign is now live and will continue to run for six months.
Athletes can access Podrunner, as well as a variety of free training tools and content at www.TimexTrainer.com, an online destination hosted by legendary Ironman Dave Scott, world class endurance coach Gale Bernhardt and the Timex Multisport Team, a group of elite endurance athletes and Timex Ironman brand ambassadors who passionately serve the performance sports community.
“Podrunner's unique and widely popular podcasts are a perfect fit for iControl,” says Heberto Calves, vice president of sports marketing at Timex. “Combined with VoloMedia's powerful advertising-insertion and performance measurement products, this campaign allows Timex to take full advantage of this exciting medium and reach our audience in new ways.”
