Ranna Gill's collection was a heady mix of warm summer memories and cool winter evenings. She has beautifully blended the transition of moving forward from old to new, giving shape and form to a collection comprising wine berry, sunset purple, warm taupe, military olive, chestnut and black coffee.

The silhouettes are soft, feminine and the shapes of the garments almost flow along the body. While some sheath dresses were fitted and figure hugging, the long gowns made the wearer appear truly elegant.

Floral prints and single colour blocks were placed in a superb manner to create their own dimension. Details at the hemlines and necklines and jewel encrusted embellishments allowed the eye to focus so as to admire the beauty they added to the garment.

The designer has an eye for detail which was evident in her usage of pleats in different ways to transform her garments in each interpretation. Dropped shoulders and various sleeve styles showed her creativity. The subtle use of gold merged with browns and wine were a terrific display of colour harmony.

Besides, embroidery details, the styling details, especially at the neck and the back of most of the garments were superbly executed.

Luxurious fabrics in brocade, staple jersey and heavy weight silk embossed with floral and geo floral prints added drama to the collection.

Ranna Gill's design philosophy was evident in this magnificent collection of pants, tops, dresses, gowns and jackets as it displayed her talent and showcased a wearable and very creative collection.
