Aramis & Designer makes Mother's Day Gift giving a virtual hit

Virtual reality is arguably more real than the tangible kind. From shopping to socializing, the world, or rather worldwide web, is literally at our fingertips and new applications are continuously being created to make navigating it easier and more fun.

Facebook, one of the web's most popular social networking sites offers a program called the SuperPoke aimed to do just that.

Poking is a simple gesture that can be used as both communication and self expression and, with 15 million users and 100 pokes per second, is currently one of the most viral activities on Facebook.

For Mother's Day, SuperPoke has added a new option to its menu of fun virtual activities, which range from blowing kisses to throwing Easter eggs.

The new 'send a message in a bottle' selection reminds friends and relatives that Mother's Day is quickly approaching and offers several suggestions for giving mom the gift of fragrance while sharing special offers and coupon codes.

Since the world of beauty made its SuperPoke debut one week ago, over one million messages in a bottle have already been sent as users poke one another with ...
- Temptation in a bottle with DKNY Be Delicious
- Dream in a bottle with Tommy Hilfiger Dreaming
- Seduction in a bottle with Sean John Unforgivable Woman
- Vacation in a bottle with Island Michael Kors Capri

Mom may have taught us not to 'poke' but we think she'll approve of this.
