The Brazilian cosmetic and perfume industry is gearing up enthusiastically to participate in Beauty World Middle East, a fair that is scheduled from May 18 to 20 at the Dubai International Convention and Exhibition Centre.

During three-day fair, the domestic cosmetic giants will showcase their amazing and innovative range of beauty items at 'Brazilian Lifestyle Lounge', to all the potential buyers in order to build strong business relations for future ventures.

The lounge will reflect the culture of Brazil, where handicraft items, traditional jewellery pieces and fashionable garments designed by renowned domestic designers will be displayed in a different manner altogether.

The models would carry products and move around to showcase cosmetics and perfumes to the spectators. The Brazilian lounge will display a wide range of items made by several domestic companies including Amazônia Natural, L'acqua di Fiori, Nazca and Never.

This time Brazilian Export and Investment Promotion Agency (Apex-Brazil) and the Arab Brazilian Chamber of Commerce are jointly organizing the Brazilian stall and are expecting more than fifteen national enterprises to participate in one of the biggest fair for this segment worldwide.

In 2007, the overall exports of perfumery and cosmetic products amounted around US $537.5 million and within a short span of four years the sales grew more than 165 percent.

Brazil is world's third largest consumer of cosmetics. Industry insiders believe that, by 2010 the sector would invest around $100 million to expand its capacity.

At present, Brazil exports cosmetics to countries like UAE, Saudi Arabia, Qatar, Egypt, Yemen, Iraq, Lebanon and Jordan.
