Italian Piquadro opens new boutique in Dubai

Piquadro S.p.A has recently signed a preliminary agreement for the opening of a single-brand point of sale in the city of Dubai.

Piquadro is a company that is involved in the conception, production and distribution of leather items that are both innovatively designed and of high technological content, recently listed in the Expandi segment of the Italian Stock Exchange.

The new boutique will be located inside the Burjuman Centre: one of the most important and historic malls of the UAE, situated between the historic centre and the emerging Dubai business district.

Inside there are 300 stores with all of the most prestigious names in Italian and International luxury items. The opening of the Piquadro single-brand shop is planned for July 2008.

“For several years we have been watching the Middle-Eastern market with great interest. It is an area on which we have been greatly concentrated within our plan of international growth.

With the opening at Abu Dhabi in the Khalidiyah Mall planned within the upcoming weeks, and the signing for the one in Dubai, we plan to continue evaluating the opportunities with the purpose of reinforcing our presence in this area that seems to enthusiastically welcome the Piquadro brand,” declared Marco Palmieri, President and CEO of Piquadro S.p.A.

The agreement was signed by Piquadro Middle East Leather Products LLC, a newly-formed company controlled by Piquadro S.p.A.

The originsof Piquadro date back to 1987 and the concept of Marco Palmieri who is President and CEO. Piquadro produces and distributes leather items that are both innovatively designed and of high technological content.
