The American Apparel & Footwear Association (AAFA) announced the promotion of Directors Nate Herman and Susan Lapetina to Senior Director of International Trade and Senior Director of Industry Relations, respectively.

“Nate and Susan consistently do great work on behalf of our members and the industry,” said Kevin M. Burke, President and CEO, AAFA.

“AAFA is very fortunate to have such talented and enthusiastic staff, who consistently provide excellence and continuity of service to the membership.”

Herman has been with the AAFA for six years, and is primarily responsible for international trade lobbying as well as spearheading AAFA's social and environmental initiatives.

Lapetina has been with AAFA for nine years, and works with staff in developing the education programming as well as planning AAFA's Annual Executive Summit.

Herman and Lapetina are staff liaisons for various AAFA committees, and together, guide the AAFA Footwear Division and AAFA Footwear Division Board of Directors as co-liaisons.

In addition to their education and committee work with the Division, they ensure footwear companies and their suppliers are represented on Capitol Hill.
