Resort 2009 collection by Donna Karan once again brought the freshness and feminine virtues alive on ramp, when she showcased her latest creations under the title Bonjour New York on June 3. The graceful and elegant flowy dresses that effortlessly hung from the body left fashionistas asking for more.

Donna beautifully blended French mannerism and classiness of New York in this collection. The onlookers yet again experienced her trademark style of bringing sensualistic touch to any simple garment.

Most of the creations in fall 2009, are pleasing to the eyes that can be worn during the day as well as in evening. The jodhpur pants that complimented tops, embellished with pom-poms, crystals and beads were an instant hit among the fashion savvies.

The Resort collection comprises of draped gowns and skirts which are seamless pieces that are nothing less than visual treat for the fashion conscious audience of New York. The fabrics that Donna selected are in perfect sync with the theme. Hand woven tweeds, organza, georgette, chiffon and crinkled luxe texture materials added extra comfort and lightness to the designer wear.

The pieces combine soft, airy silhouettes with perfect and well-defined shapes that are in diverse proportions, Karan spelled her magic over the well versed, top notch glitteratis.

Hues of pink dominated the runway and gathered high applaud from all corners for bringing refreshing colours and designs, that will not only make thewearer look but also feel young at heart.
