It is hard to not associate stylist Erika Ikezili's creative process with Japanese culture.
And it could not be any different for the summer of 2008/09, especially when we are celebrating the 100th anniversary of Japanese immigration to Brazil.
In order to present her new work, Erika chose the Japanese Pavilion at Ibirapuera Park, with oriental architecture and gardens.
In the collection, besides the elements that recall that country's culture, there were also elements from other immigrants who came to Brazil, like the prints with African symbols, animal fur in pieces constructed to resemble a kimono.
Floral prints are seen in some looks. Clothes with rounded shapes in tribute to Tomie Ohtake's architecture.
Blouses, mini dresses, bermudas, skirts and shorts are proposed.
