Mr Alessandro Teixeira receives a special tribute at RS Export Award

The president of Apex-Brasil, Alessandro Teixeira, received a special tribute at the 36th Export Awards promoted annually by ADVB/RS, Brazilian Association of Marketing and Sales Directors in Rio Grande do Sul.

The award was recognition for the work Apex-Brasil has been developing among the companies in Rio Grande do Sul.

The ceremony held June 18 in Porto Alegre also awarded the 33 winning companies from 18 townships in the state. They include Bia Brazil, which produces clothes for fitness.

Winner of the Award for the second consecutive year, Bia Brazil has already actively participated in international fairs like SIMM (Madrid), CPM Moscow and Fashion Exposed (Australia), with ABIT's support, through Texbrasil, a Program developed in partnership with Apex-Brasil.

The brand will soon be at SIMM once again, as well as Colombiamoda and Mode City (Paris).

According to entity president Claudio Goldsztein, this edition was highlighted by innovation and improvements in the selective criteria.

The export highlight was granted to Bunge. Others honored include Paulo Bellini, chairman of the Board of Directors at Marcopolo with the Export Personality trophy, and Frederico Behrends, of Fiergs, as Executive Highlight.

Former Minister Luiz Fernando Furlan also received a special tribute for his work in the export area.
