Katerina Bocci brings latest collection to Couture Fashion Week

In what promises to be an unforgettable event, designer Katerina Bocci will present her latest collection at Couture Fashion Week in New York City on Saturday September 6, 2008 at the Westin Times Square, in the heart of the Big Apple. The award-winning designer's latest collection will feature couture suits, cocktail dresses and evening gowns, all in silk fabrics, embellished with Swarovski crystals and trims.

After graduating from the renowned SITAM Institute of Design in Padova, Italy, Ms. Bocci opened her own fashion atelier in her native Albania. In 2001 she moved to the United States - what she calls "My Promised Land" - and quickly became known in the Detroit area for her impeccable fashion designs, selling to a growing savvy and sophisticated private clientele of as well as to boutiques such as Kleinfeld in New York, Roma Sposa and Alessandra Bridal in Michigan and Sposaitalia in Canada."

"Ms. Bocci was named Best Designer in Michigan by Hour Detroit Magazine, WDIV Channel 4 and Strut Magazine. Her designs have been featured in The New York Times, Hour Detroit , Style and Inside Weddings magazines, and she is a favorite designer of TV news anchors Lila Lazuras and Rhonda Walker, Miss Universe 2006 Zuleyka Rivera, Miss Albania 2007 Sadina Alla and singer Fergie. Miss Italia 2008, Jordan Monaghan, will be one of the models appearing on the runway at Ms. Bocci's New York fashion show In September."

Hair and makeup styling for the Katerina Bocci fashion show will be done by FIGO Salon of Birmingham, Michigan, voted Best Salon in Hour Detroit Magazine's 2008 "Best of Detroit."

"I am inspired by the beauty of the female form, and strive to make a woman feel feminine, sexy and very sophisticated," says Katerina Bocci.

In 2007 Ms. Bocci opened the largest fashion design studio in Michigan. The 3,200 square foot facility caters to savvy fashion clients with the best in custom couture bridal gowns, cocktail dresses, evening gowns, fine suits and coats made from luxurious fabrics, imported laces and silks. All clothes are hand sewn and tailored to the client's specifications, made to flatter the wearer and bring out her best.

"We are delighted to have Katerina showing with Couture Fashion Week again," notes producer Andres Aquino. "Her fashion show last year in at the St. Regis in New York was a great success and brought a lot of attention to this dynamic and talented designer."

Couture Fashion Week and Bridal Fashion Week are multi-day events showcasing luxury couture and fine fashion including eveningwear, elegant fashion, couture bridal as well as accessories. Attendees include upscale consumers, invited VIPs, the press and selected high-end store buyers. The events also include exhibits of luxury brands as well as entertainment and networking cocktail and after-parties, and are held in top venues in New York City, Palm Beach, Florida and other selected cities.

In addition to its ongoing offering of unique branding opportunities for luxury products and services, Couture Fashion Week works in conjunction with lifestyle industry leaders around the world in offering attendance at the fashion shows as part of lavish travel and shopping experiences for those with exquisite tastes.
