Seven fashion shows and eight special-topic seminars highlight Hong Kong Fashion Week for Spring/Summer 2009, occuring 8 – 11 July at the Hong Kong Convention and Exhibition Centre (HKCEC).

More than 1,100 exhibitors from about 20 countries and regions will take part in this year's fair. Their fashion and accessories will be spot lit in nine theme zones: Fabrics and Yarn Zone (new), Emporium de Mode, Infant and Children's Wear Zone, Spice Arena, Body and Intimate Wear Zone, Bridal and Evening Wear Zone, Fashion Gallery, Garment and Accessories Mart and International Fashion Designers' Showcase.

The Hong Kong New Fashion Collection Award 2008 (10 July) will be held for the eighth time, with nine contestants competing for three awards: the Casual and Jeans-wear Category Winner, the Party and Evening-wear Category Winner and the Overall Winner.

Under the theme of “Diversity in Action”, a group of Hong Kong designers and artists will celebrate the upcoming Beijing Olympic Games with a fashion show (10 July) and an art and graphics exhibition (8-11 July).

The creative promotion is organised by the Hong Kong Trade Development Council (HKTDC) and will be held during the Fashion Week to catch the eyeballs of global buyers.

We cordially invite you to send a reporter and photographer/camera crew to cover the fair and related events.

All media representatives are requested to register at the Press Registration Counter, located at Expo Drive Lobby in the HKCEC. Please bring along your name card or press card for registration.
