While the Olympic torch continues its journey across the provinces of China the Olympic fever is definitely heating up in Singapore.

The excitement excelled especially when Singapore was appointed by the Olympic International Committee (OIC) to be the host for the coming Youth Olympics in 2010.

In conjunction with this global event, Bata Singapore teamed up with MediaCorp, Singapore's largest radio media owner, for an Olympic cheer – Let the Games Begin advertising campaign.

Three different Bata customers will win one of three pairs of air tickets to Beijing, China to witness the marvellous event in Bata Singapore's lucky draw.

Mr. Aloysius Tan, one of Singapore's top radio personalities recorded a radio commercial for Bata Singapore.

Bata Singapore is delighted to be enjoying extra publicity mileage in both print and audio media for this campaign.

“I grew up with Bata and now I shop at Bata with my family. Bata has everything for everyone. So, it is surely rewarding to shop and get to travel to watch the Olympics.” Said Mr. Aloysius Tan.

Everyone is all hyped up about the Olympics and everyone is surely talking about Bata in Singapore. Bata Singapore has taken this opportunity to position themselves as a 1-stop shoe shop for all in the family.

Thus, in their radio commercial, they do not merely promote their products, but they also encourage family togetherness and harmony.

Thousands of customers have already sent in their SMS to try their luck at winning a trip of their life to Beijing, China. With the heat building up, Bata Singapore is sure that there will be many more before the end of the promotion.

With such a hyped global event as the 2008 Olympics, which everyone is looking forward to, Bata Singapore has an excellent opportunity to entice customers to shop at Bata throughout this exciting time.
