A hundred year old Levi's jeans has been discovered in a California goldmine covered in wax drops from a candle carried by its original owner to light the mine.
Partially faded on the seat and in the the fronts, the vintage blue jeans of 34 inches waist size is still otherwise in an excellent condition and bearing the 'Levi Strauss & Co' label.
The few signs of wearing out that has been brought about by time, actually gives the jeans a 'worn' look which is presently in vogue.
Levi Strauss was established in 1853 and gained an instant popularity with California miners because of its tough fabric which does not split or wear as easily as other materials.
However, the pair of jeans which was discovered while exploring the Rand mining district in the Mojave Desert, have not been authenticated by Levi's as yet.
