"The footwear training institute of Sri Lanka will basically have three main components that are Design Studio or Design Centre, Laboratory & Training Department," said Mr. Lakhara.
The footwear training institute of Sri Lanka will be under the Clothing Industry Training Institute, Ministry of Textile Industry Development, Government of Sri Lanka.
"For the effective & proper implementation of the consultancy, flow chart diagram alongwith the time frame with the proper milestones are being carried out." Mr. Shashi Bhushan Shukla, IRS, Secretary FDDI.
The Government of Sri Lanka had request to expedited actions in this regard at the earliest since the footwear industry as well as the Ministry of Industrial Development wanted this project to be implemented in this year itself.
Mr. Shashi Bhushan Shukla, IRS, Secretary FDDI, remarked, "Since we want to complete the project on time, we are planning to start this project from 01st of September 2008. For the effective & proper implementation of the consultancy, flow chart diagram alongwith the time frame with the proper milestones are being carried out."
