In the four-week August period, comparable revenues in the Specialty Retail Stores segment, which includes Neiman Marcus Stores and Bergdorf Goodman, decreased 0.4 percent. Revenue growth trends were the strongest in the Company's stores in Texas and New York City. The merchandise categories in the Specialty Retail Stores segment that performed the strongest included precious jewelry and women's fine apparel.
Comparable revenues at Neiman Marcus Direct in the four-week August period decreased 1.1 percent. The top selling merchandise categories in the Direct Marketing segment included women's apparel, shoes, handbags and men's.
Neiman Marcus Inc plans to report fourth quarter and fiscal year 2008 financial results on Wednesday, September 24, 2008 at 11:00 a.m. Eastern Time. The Company will host a conference call the same day that will be simultaneously webcast.
