Donna Tulloch of Mild Red will be showcasing her stunning and stylish garment pieces at a gallery in Japan from October 10 to 18. Donna has collaborated with Christchurch sculptor Graham Bennett, at Galerie Paris in Yokohama for creating this collection that aims to leave the spectators breathless.
Tulloch had showcased her collection earlier this year at the id Dunedin Fashion Show, which included jewellery pieces that had a architectural look and vibed beautifully with draped clothing.
The Dunedin-based designer uses material available in New Zealand like merino from Timaru and Tartan from Dunedin for creating the outfits . Her distinct label Mild Red is a well respected brand in both New Zealand as well as in Australia.
Tulloch has always admired Japanese designers and their use of fabric in textures, draping and layering. Now she is extremely excited to show her works in Japan, the place that has inspired her so much.
Donna even thinks that this is a chance not only to promote Mild Red label but also the entire New Zealand fashion industry.
