Nuance-Watson (Hong Kong), the leading retail operator at Hong Kong International Airport, has succeeded in securing concessions for seven luxury brand boutiques covering a total area of 520 square metres.

The wins include: Bally, Hugo Boss, Omega, The Peninsula Boutique, Giorgio Armani, Pal Zileri and Samsonite Black Label. The new Giorgio Armani boutique at Hong Kong International Airport will be the first at any airport worldwide, while the new Pal Zileri and Samsonite Black Label concessions will be an Asian airport first for both brands.

Bally, Hugo Boss, Omega and The Peninsula are among several leading brands for whom Nuance-Watson (Hong Kong) has managed operations since Hong Kong International Airport's last round of luxury brand boutique tenders in 2003. Currently, these Bally, Hugo Boss and Omega boutiques are all No. 1 in terms of travel retail sales for their respective brands.

The new licenses will run until 2013 and cover a total area of 520 square metres, a sixty per cent increase in luxury boutique retail space for Nuance-Watson (Hong Kong) when compared to the 2003 tender. The new boutiques will be launched from spring 2009 with full completion by autumn 2009.

Alessandra Piovesana, Regional Managing Director of Nuance-Watson (Hong Kong), is pleased to see the company's luxury statement at Hong Kong International Airport prolonged and enlarged. "Our victory in such highly competitive tenders is a clear indication that our comitment to innovation and growth have been recognised by the Airport Authority.

Coupled with the extension of our General Merchandise and Perfumes & Cosmetics operations and the recent award of the Audio Visual Electronic Equipment license, the new concessions will solidify our presence at Hong Kong International Airport for several years to come.

The new brand portfolio combines a mix of brands that covers the typical luxury product categories like fashion and watches, as well as fine food and travel goods which represent a more sophisticated expression of individual luxury lifestyle. The new brands are sure to enhance passengers' travel choices and appreciation", said Ms. Piovesana.

Since establishing operations at Hong Kong International Airport in 1998, Nuance-Watson (Hong Kong) has provided a travel retail spring board to success for numerous high-end brands, in terms of launching and validating their premieres at the airport as well as expanding their span and setting off their development into boutiques.
