BIFF & BIL 2009 trade fairs from August 13-16

The Bangkok International Fashion Fair & Bangkok International Leather Fair 2009 will be held from 13 - 16 August 2009 at the Challenger Hall, IMPACT Muang Thong Thani. The Organizer of the fair is Department of Export Promotion, Ministry of Commerce, Thailand and is supported by Bangkok Fashion Society (BFS), Thailand Textile Institute (THTI), The Thai Garment Manufacturers Association (TGMA) and The Thai Textile Manufacturing Association (TTMA) and many others.

Other supporting bodies are The Thai Weaving Industry Association (TWIA), The Thai Silk Association (TSA), The Textile Merchants Association (TMA), The Bobae Garment Association (BGA), Fashion Jewelry Trade Association (FJTA), Thai Tanning Industry Association, Thai Leather Goods Association, Thai Footwear Association and the Footwear Industry Club, FTI.

There are expected to be 800 companies and 1,200 booths compared to 573 companies and 885 booths in 2008. The participating countries are Thailand, ASEAN, Hong Kong, Taiwan, China, India, Japan, Germany and the fair is spread over 40,000 sq mtrs. Visitors are expected from Asia, ASEAN, Middle East, U.S.A. and the EU.
