Australia's leading fashion trade event FASHION EXPOSED & preview will return to the Sydney Convention & Exhibition Centre from 8–10 March 2009. Bringing together international brands, Australian based favourites as well as industry targeted seminars and forums; the March 2009 fair is expected to be one of the most important to date.

Now a permanent feature within the Sydney event, the popular International Designer Showcase will this season present five of Hong Kong's leading young designers. Like the French before them, this directional group of designers will eagerly present collections to Australian buyers for the first time with a view to becoming regulars on the Australian fashion scene.

Another first at FASHION EXPOSED is the Australian launch of William Rast, the label from international superstar Justin Timberlake. A celebrity favourite, William Rast jeans have been spotted on the who's who of Hollywood from Jessica Biel to Cameron Diaz and their Australian launch is not to be missed.

Australia's 'superstar' designers of the future will be revealed at this season's debut. debut has nurtured some of Australia's hottest emerging labels such as Donna Srgo, Bird, Since Grey, Trimapee and Subfusco all of which have gone on to significant success both here and internationally. As one of the most popular precincts within the fair, debut attracts leading buyers and industry professionals keen to see the latest in innovative Australian design.

Building on the success of the Melbourne fair in September, StreetLab will again be at the heart of the Street/Urbanwear precinct. New, exciting and relevant StreetLab will feature over 20 cutting edge labels for buyers to view and meet while they listen to one of Sydney's best DJ's in a trade space unlike any other in Australia.

Revealing new season trends, high-energy runway shows and initiatives such as the Australian Retailers Association's new 'Hot Half Hours' (addressing key industry topics including marketing, VM, finance and HR), FASHION EXPOSED & preview provides a unique opportunity for the industry to buy the latest looks, meet with industry leaders, be inspired and exchange ideas.

FASHION EXPOSED & preview, in partnership with PACIFIC BRANDS, would like to acknowledge the following organisations for their support: Australian Fashion Council, Australian Retailers Association, Australia Post, FGI, Mannequin Hire, NSW Department of State and Regional Development, Ragtrader and Stylehunter.com.
